SIMS Next Gen Census Training
Who is this course for?
This half day course is aimed at new and existing users of SIMS Next Gen who have responsibility for completing the School Census on behalf of the Head Teacher.
Aims
To understand the Census Process and be able to accurately complete, check, authorise and submit the Census Return within SIMS Next Gen.
Important Information
You will be logging in to your school's SNG environment, therefore, your school will need to have onboarded to SNG. You will also need to know your O365 credentials to participate in this training so please ensure you know your username and password.
Objectives
At the end of the course participants will be able to:
- Understand the Census process and where to gain guidance
- Create a new Census and create and validate the data contained within the Census
- Understand how to resolve and avoid queries and errors
- Know how to check the SIMS data contained in the Census
- Be able to authorise the return and successfully upload it to the DfE.
- Be able to apply the knowledge learned to any of the three School Censuses

The cost of this half-day course is £97 per delegate.
