Who is this course for?
This half day course is aimed at new users of SIMS Next Gen (SNG). SIMS Next Gen is the cloud-based version of SIMS 7. It has been re-designed from the outset to take advantage of modern user-interfaces and bring SIMS functionality is line with current expectations. SIMS Next Gen has been rolled out in stages with different areas of SIMS 7 functionality moving over to the new service.
Aims
To learn how to make use of accurate, well maintained data, and to become comfortable navigating SIMS Next Gen (SNG).
Important Information
You will be logging in to your school's SNG environment, therefore, your school will need to have onboarded to SNG. You will also need to know your O365 credentials to participate in this training so please ensure you know your username and password.
Objectives
By the end of the training, you will have the skills required to use SIMS Next Gen in a school office administration role. This will include skills in the following key areas:
- Accessing SIMS Next Gen
- Updating the pupil details page
- Add new pupil records to SIMS Next Gen
- Complete the leaving process for a pupil
- Completing attendance information efficiently and accurately
- Understand classroom tools available to teachers
- Reviewing staff details in SIMS Next Gen
- Administration of SIMS Next Gen

The cost of this half-day course is £97 per delegate.
