Netsweeper in the Cloud

We are upgrading our Web Filtering and Online Protection

Our Web Filtering & Online Protection (Netsweeper) service provides safe, filtered and logged web access for both staff and students for your school's broadband connection.

It also provides a monitoring and alerting service that helps safeguard students. This service is an integral feature of our Broadband and Online Service Bundle.

During the autumn 2023 and spring 2024 terms, we will be migrating all of our Broadband and Online Service customers to a new cloud-based version of Netsweeper. Web Filtering management will continue to work the same as it does now, with no changes required. Please note: All schools have now been scheduled for the upgrade and we will contact you before Christmas or during the spring term to explain the migration process.

Once migration to the cloud has completed, the following services will be made available:

Netsweeper onGuard

OnGuard provides a real-time monitoring and alerting safeguarding services. This valuable tool will aid schools and designated safeguarding leads to meet the online safeguarding criteria in the DfE's Keeping Children Safe in Education report (KCSIE).

Off-site Filtering

In 2024/25, we will offer the option to have filtering on laptops used by pupils outside school, all controlled as part of your school's standard filtering policies (additional set-up charges apply).

Our new solution will be available to schools once we have completed the rollout of Netsweeper to the cloud and is included in your Broadband and Online Service Bundle.

This valuable tool will aid schools and designated safeguarding leads to meet the online safeguarding criteria in the DfE's statutory guidance, Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) report.
