Understanding SIMS Primary Assessment Resources
Who is this course for?
This course would be most suitable for Senior Leaders or those with a responsibility for whole school assessment.
Aims
To understand what inbuilt resources are available for primary schools, how they can assist with assessment tracking, at an individual, class and school level, how these can be utilised to inform Key Stage assessments, and how SIMS assessment can be personalised for the internal tracking of pupils.
Objectives
At the end of the course participants will have a good understanding of the following key assessment resources:
- The Key Stage Wizards used for Statutory Returns to the Local Authority and the DfE
- EYFTR Resources - Marksheets
- CAS Primary Assessment Resources – RWM Marksheets
- How to use marksheets within the resources
- Understand how a marksheet can be personalised for your school and how the information can be used to produce a report for parents.
- How Programme of Study can support teachers with tracking progress across the Early Years and Primary curriculum
- How to analyse results using Result Set Analysis
- How to analyse EYFTR information using Tracking Grids
- How to analyse assessment data from SIMS across key groups using Discover
- Understand what SIMS Next Gen can offer for tracking pupil progress
- Understand the School Report
